Jardine Gallery & Workshop

Wildlife art gallery and studio of ceramic sculptor Julian Jardine

Currently the gallery will be open from 10am-5pm Monday to Saturday and 11am - 5pm Sunday. There will be times when the gallery is open later if we are working on deadlines. Throughout the summer Julian will be away at certain weekends exhibiting, full details of this will be on the website.

The Jardine Gallery and Workshop originally opened in 2008. It is the studio of ceramic sculptor Julian Jardine whose characterful wildlife sculptures are easily recognised. Julian is a regular exhibitor at some of the UK's top ceramic shows. The gallery recently moved to it's new location at 12 Colliergate, York in late April 2026. The new space is light and airy over 3 floors and has allowed Julian to broaden the exhibition space.

To compliment his own work Julian has curated together some of the UK's best wildlife artist and now has some international exhibitors also. The collected art works for the gallery feature a diverse selection of styles and mediums with an aim to showing visitors as wide a range of artwork as possible while still tying everything together with a general theme. The resulting exhibition has a wide range of prices and offers a real visual treat to any visitor.

Visitors to the gallery will also be able to meet Julian working in his studio on the 1st floor at the gallery. They can see how his pieces come to life and discuss with Julian the processes involved. It is always nice to see the artwork being created while browsing the exhibited artwork.

Later in 2026 there are plans to start running Julian's popular adult weekend sculpting courses, details of that will follow.

Jardine Gallery & Workshop

“It has been my pleasure to work with over 40 artists who share my enthusiasm for art, nature and conservation. The collection of work now offers the public an opportunity to see a wealth of artistic styles done to the highest standard. I enjoy demonstrating my own work and talking to visitors about how my ceramic sculptures progress from start to finish.”
