Try stepping foot into this craft shop and not being tempted by all the colourful, pretty things around you
Where better for former teacher and keen crocheter Kayleigh to put her skills to use than in her shop filled with lots of things for the keen crafter. York Makery grew around the idea of creating a space for people to learn arts and crafts form Kayleigh and her team of teachers. They also welcome kids and adult occasion parties to learn whatever it is they fancy.
Classes go on through the year and include knitting, crochet, sewing, patchwork, hand embroidery, metal stamping, yarn dying, needle felting and silk painting while the shelves around are stacked with things to take home and carry on creating. Not only do they cover an array of yarns, being on a student street means they also cover lots of budgets.
