The Larder Club
Opening in early 2020 in the heart of York...The Larder Club is an Italian deli with a twist supporting the rehabilitation of women offenders.
Whether you fancy a freshly ground speciality coffee and an Italian pastry or if catching up over a delicious antipasti platter is more your thing, The Larder Club is worth a visit.
Let us welcome you into our Italian deli with a twist where you can enjoy eat in or takeaway coffee, paninis, authentic meats & cheeses and take a look at the tempting retail products or stay a while, take a seat and enjoy a relaxing drink over mouth-watering antipasti platters. Whether it's a breakfast platter filled with fruit and freshly baked pastries, a board full of authentic meats, cheeses and Italian roasted vegetables or a dessert platter that you just can’t say no to – we have antipasti platters for everybody…or if you are feeling more adventurous and see something you fancy at our deli counter then you can create your own antipasti dish packed with anything that catches your eye.
While enjoying our warm, friendly atmosphere you can also feel good about making a difference to our community. The Larder Club is a social enterprise supporting the rehabilitation of women offenders and working closely alongside HMP Askham Grange, it funds work placements and employment opportunities for women offenders within a quality and professional environment. The Larder Club also offers barista skills training for women offenders, equipping them with the art of creating great speciality coffee and a skill to increase employment opportunities within a growing industry.
Sometimes we all need a little TLC...so, from offering you some space to treat yourself and sourcing great produce through to working with ethical suppliers and supporting others in need, extending a little TLC is what The Larder Club is all about.
“I feel passionately about empowering women to change their lives for the better & I decided to do something about it...so here is The Larder Club. Being York born and bred I love what Yorkshire as a county has to offer but I am also in love with Italy, where I've spent some brilliant times enjoying great coffee, wine & fantastic food. I want to offer our customers a great experience enjoying a taste of Italy whilst helping a cause that is close to my heart – the rehabilitation of women offenders”
