The Donut Kitchen
If you’re after a sweet snack stop in the centre of town, doughnuts might just be the thing
When it comes to ringed doughnuts, simplicity is the key, according to Nicola who owns The Donut Kitchen, run from her trusty trailer. And you can’t fail to be tempted by the smell of cooking doughnuts wafting into the neighbouring square or Shambles Market.
Doughnuts plus sugar (with cinnamon if you like) plus Belgian chocolate sauce is the simple formula to success, which makes ordering that much easier. Prepare to be fascinated by the clever doughnut machine that can make up to 800 little dunkers in an hour! The Donut Kitchen also has a regular spot by Thor’s Tipi at Christmas time and usually has a special flavoured sauce for festivals in the city.
“Everybody loves doughnuts, no matter their age because they’re fun and a tasty treat.”
