The Blue Boar
Not many places can say this but this was the spot chosen to house Dick Turpin’s body for public display (after being hung for his crimes first)
Fri and Sat: 12.00 – 00.00
Just like its sister pub, The Three Tuns, The Blue Boar is a traditional public house serving real ales and home cooked British pub classics. They also have a wide range of gin, bourbons and rum alongside the usual spirit offering.
Join in on their free live acoustic music nights on the second and last Saturday of the month and, designated driver will be pleased to hear, they give free drinks to poor soul who has to drive everyone home over the Christmas period and on bank holiday weekends.
“Our customer care is personalised as we are not part of a chain and don’t employ robots that simply go through the motions. We genuinely want all customers to have a good experience.”
