The Hatch is a family run, independent coffee stand in the heart of York City Centre. We serve up speciality grade coffee from single origin beans that have been sourced responsibly by the wonderful North Star Roast, alongside delicious hot chocolates made with real, melted chocolate and a seasonal specials menu.
We are York locals Tom and Hannah. Tom is from a street trading family that has been serving up food and drinks in York city centre for over 30 years. Hannah was previously a researcher in the field of sustainability and has studied environmental change in the tea and coffee growing regions of Kenya and Malawi. We decided that by working together, we could combine our passions for high quality produce that is ethically sourced and bring you speciality grade, single origin coffee to the streets of York that is not only kinder to the planet and the coffee growers, but tastes incredible too! And with the addition of our wonderful Baristas Ben and Elsie, our team at The Hatch was complete!
