South Bank Studios York
A creative community of artists' studios on Bishy Road in York.
South Bank Studios is home to 19 artists on the Bishy Road in York. We work across a range of disciplines that includes painting, textile art, jewellery and metalwork, printmaking, collage, installation art, paper art, theatre and social design. As well as providing studio space, South Bank Studios also provides lots of other creative opportunities. Our artists run art classes and a wide variety of creative workshops, as well as monthly drawing and crafting groups. We hold regular exhibitions including our annual Winter Fair in November (great for finding Christmas gifts from local artists and makers), Open Studios in April and other events throughout the year where we'd love to welcome you to the studios.
We are also involved with community art projects, and there's a weekly gallery cafe too.
